The UKG class at Imperial School of Learning marks the final stage of pre-primary education, preparing children for formal schooling in Class 1. At this level, we focus on strengthening literacy, numeracy, and comprehension skills while nurturing confidence, curiosity, and self-discipline. Our UKG program blends structured learning with creative exploration to ensure a smooth transition to the primary section.
UKG (Upper Kindergarten)
UKG (Age 5+) is a critical year where children begin to demonstrate greater focus, independence, and understanding. Our classroom environment is lively, interactive, and rich in resources that promote active engagement. We emphasize both academic readiness and character development to create well-rounded learners.
Aligned with the CBSE early education framework, the UKG curriculum includes:

Language Development
Recognition and writing of small and capital letters (A–Z, a–z)
Introduction to CVC words, sight words, and basic sentence formation,
Story narration, rhymes, picture reading, and early reading comprehension

Mathematics
Numbers 1–100: recognition, writing, counting
Concepts: before/after, greater/less than, addition and subtraction with objects, Shapes, patterns, and simple problem-solving exercises

General Awareness
Introduction to time (day/night), seasons, community helpers, transportation, and basic science concepts.
Moral values, healthy habits, and environmental sensitivity

Creative Arts & Expression
Drawing, craft work, coloring, clay modeling
