Classes 6 to 8
The Middle School section at Imperial School of Learning marks a vital phase where students transition from foundational learning to deeper academic understanding and personal growth. This stage encourages critical thinking, analytical skills, and independent learning while continuing to build character, discipline, and leadership qualities.

Covering Classes 6 to 8 (Ages 11 to 14), our Middle School curriculum is designed to bridge the gap between primary education and secondary school. The learning approach becomes more subject-focused, with an increased emphasis on reasoning, application, and exploration. Students are introduced to advanced topics and encouraged to ask questions, investigate, and collaborate.
Aligned with the CBSE curriculum, the subjects include:
English: Literature, grammar, comprehension, and creative writing
Hindi: Prose, poetry, grammar, and composition
Mathematics: Algebra, geometry, arithmetic, mensuration, data handling
Science: Integrated approach covering physics, chemistry, and biology basics
Social Science: History, geography, civics, and economics
Computer Science: Programming concepts, digital literacy, and application tools
Third Language (as per CBSE norms): Optional (varies by school offering)
Moral Science & Life Skills: Ethics, personal development, emotional intelligence
Art, Craft, Music & Dance: Creative expression and cultural exposure
Physical Education: Fitness training, team sports, yoga, and structured games
Project-based learning, group discussions, presentations, and practical demonstrations are part of regular classroom practices. Students are also encouraged to participate in inter-house and inter-school competitions to build confidence and team spirit.
Our Middle School educators are subject specialists who bring both expertise and enthusiasm to the classroom. They adopt activity-based learning, visual tools, and real-world examples to make abstract concepts easier to grasp. Teachers also act as mentors, guiding students through the physical and emotional changes of adolescence with care and encouragement.
