The Secondary Section at Imperial School of Learning plays a pivotal role in shaping a student’s academic future and career orientation. This phase emphasizes in-depth subject knowledge, examination preparedness, and character development. It prepares students for board exams and builds the foundation for their higher secondary studies and future goals.

Classes 9 & 10

Covering Classes 9 and 10 (Ages 14 to 16), this section follows a well-structured and rigorous academic pattern in accordance with CBSE guidelines. Students begin focusing on specific subjects in greater depth and are guided to develop analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and disciplined study habits.


Special focus is given to board exam preparation in Class 10, including regular assessments, mock tests, remedial classes, and individual performance tracking.

The curriculum for the Secondary Section includes:


English Language & Literature: Grammar, prose, poetry, comprehension, writing skills


Hindi / Second Language: Literature, grammar, composition, comprehension


Mathematics: Algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, coordinate geometry, mensuration


Science: Physics (motion, force, electricity), Chemistry (chemical reactions, acids/bases), Biology (life processes, reproduction, genetics)


Social Science:


History: Nationalism, freedom struggle, world events


Geography: Resources, agriculture, industries


Civics: Constitution, democracy, political institutions


Economics: Development, sectors, money and credit



Information Technology / Computer Applications (optional): Coding, MS Office, digital tools


Health & Physical Education: Physical fitness, yoga, team sports


Moral Science & Life Skills: Goal setting, time management, ethical decision-making
